Somewhere Over the Arcoíris

Explore conversations with queer Latine library and information professionals across the USA. Now more than ever, libraries are under attack, with many challenges targeting LGBTQIA+ collections, programs, and stories. Somewhere Over the Arcoiris features conversations between the author and Latine library and information professionals whose identities and intersections shape their experiences. The book explores challenges entering the profession, navigating workplaces, advancing into leadership, overcoming imposter syndrome, confronting homophobia, combating hate, and balancing cultural identities with professional expectations. Queer Latine voices remain underrepresented in professional and academic spaces. This book is vital to ongoing conversations about equity, diversity, and inclusion, amplifying perspectives that are too often overlooked or marginalized within libraries.
