This book shares the experiences of the networking of elected women representatives at grassroots level in Tamil Nadu. Narrating how the elected women representatives have been facilitated to form a federation, it explains the reality of the devolution process in the state and the problems faced by the women leaders in local bodies. It also deals with the capacity building exercises conducted for elected women representatives, the role of NGOs in building the support structure, and the experiences of elected women representatives of their interface with institutions, officials and media. An integrated analysis of the project to prepare support structure makes part of the study as well.
