Der vorliegende zweite Band meiner Aufgabensammlung entspricht in der Auswahl des Stoffes dem Inhalt des zweiten Bandes meiner "Vorlesungen über Differential- und Integralrechnung". Er enthält neben den Ergänzungen zur Infinitesimalrechnung einer Variablen grundlegenden Stoff aus der Infinitesimalrechnung mit mehreren Vari­ ablen nebst Anwendungen auf numerische Rechenmethoden, sowie auf die Differentialgeometrie. Das Buch kann natürlich auch ohne gleich­ zeitige Benutzung meines Lehrbuches verwendet werden, da auch in diesem Band in jedem Abschnitt der in Frage kommende Hintergrund an Begriffen, Formeln und Sätzen zusammengestellt ist, von dem aus die Aufgaben angepackt werden können. Wie im ersten Band, sind die Lösungen der Aufgaben zumeist in zwei Schritten angegeben, zuerst in den "Hinweisen" und sodann in den "Lösungen" . Aus praktischen Gründen ist dieser Band in zwei getrennte und einzeln erhältliche Teilbände aufgeteilt worden, von denen der erste (II A) Aufgaben und Hinweise und der zweite (II B) Lösungen enthält. Der Verlag hat wie immer den zahlreichen Wünschen des Autors mit freundlicher Geduld und Ausdauer entsprochen.
