Social Justice is the first book that comprehensively covers various conceptions of justice, both distributive and retributive. It covers pre-modern to late modern visions. The book is organized into five thematic sections and contains a wealth of case studies This edited collection includes extensive editorial commentary for each chapter. It focuses on both retributive justice principles (response to crime) and distributive justice principles (fair distributions of rewards and burdens).
