In a world where everyone receives a Class and Skills at the age of ten, and where such revelations have a huge impact on one's life, Arel, the son of Sword Princess Farah and Archmage Leon, learns that he has... no class at all! With no class, and no skills, all that's left for Arel is hard work. And so, he takes to training, utilizing wits and cunning to emerge as an all-new type of hero!

Arel continues to impress as he attends the various institutes of magic. When things get too easy, however, he decides it's time to take the promotion exams and move up a year. But as he breezes through one challenge after another, polishing his magical skills all the while, a threat unlike anything the institutes have ever seen rears its terrifying head!

Even though he was born to parents of the most powerful classes, Arel discovers that he has no class at all! This hasn't stopped him from working his hardest, however, and developing in his own way. He ventures to the sword city of Bresgia to take part in a guild battle. His efforts place his new guild, Dragon Fang, among the best, and afterwards Arel learns of the city's most prestigious tournament, the Sword God Cup. It's a battle where the strongest make their names, and so Arel heads into the city's giant underground labyrinth to sharpen his skills.
