However, they have trouble almost from the very beginning - the region where they are moving appears to be half in water because of the huge flood.

There is a small colony of the earth dwellers on the remote planet. The connection with their native home is lost long ago. What happened to the Earth after the invasion of the space ships is unknown, but the main task for the colonists is obvious - to survive in all the possible ways.
