This was the primary reason for gathering this collection of carefully selected and hopefully representative research projects, found solutions, and finally applications. They are the achievements of scientific teams from several countries.The contents of the monograph has been divided into four parts:1)  Multimedia Information Technology,2)  Information Systems Specification,3)  Information Systems Applications,4)  Web Systems and Network Technologies.The book presents up to date research from the diverse fields of multimedia and Internet data processing.

Recent years have seen remarkable progress on both advanced multimedia data processing and intelligent network information systems. The objective of this book is to contribute to the development of multimedia processing and the intelligent information systems and to provide the researches with the essentials of current knowledge, experience and know-how. Although many aspects of such systems have already been under investigation, but there are many new that wait to be discovered and defined.The book contains a selection of 36 papers based on original research presented during the 10th International Conference on Multimedia & Network Information Systems (MISSI 2016) held on 14–16 September 2016 in Wrocław, Poland. These proceedings collect papers presented at the 11th International Conference on Multimedia & Network Information Systems (MISSI 2018), held from 12 to 14 September 2018 in Wrocław, Poland. The keynote lectures, given by four outstanding scientists, are also included here. The Conference attracted a great number of scientists from across Europe and beyond, and hosted the 6th International Workshop on Computational Intelligence for Multimedia Understanding as well as four special sessions.  The majority of the papers describe various artificial intelligence (AI) methods applied to multimedia and natural language (NL) processing; they address hot topics such as virtual and augmented reality, identity recognition, video summarization, intelligent audio processing, accessing multilingual information and opinions, video games, and innovations in Web technologies. Accordingly, the proceedings provide a cutting-edge update on work being pursued in the rapidlyevolving field of Multimedia and Internet Information Systems.
