Im Lebensraum Schule ist der Religionsunterricht ein wesentlicher Ort zum Lernen und Lehren von Empathie. Die Bibel enthält einen Reichtum von dem, was wir heute unter Empathie verstehen. Systematisch und exegetisch spürt Anja Steinberg der Bedeutung von Empathie nach. Dabei nimmt sie das zwischenmenschliche, seelsorgliche Miteinander und das Handeln Gottes an uns Menschen in den Blick.
