This book illuminates individual and collective imaginings of postcolonial Bangladesh. It explores the emergence of Bangladesh as a nation from a variety of perspectives.The author studies the impact of Muslim nationalism on the subaltern life-worlds of East Bengal during the Partition, religious minorities and their insecurity in East Pakistan, East Pakistan’s political insurgencies, the victims of the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, the Indian stake in the 1971 War, and the cosmopolitan interpretations of the war. The literary and cultural texts that inform this project include contemporary Bengali novels, South Asian Anglophone literature, as well as selected visual media and digital sources. The project’s reading of these texts in conjunction with politics and history has interdisciplinary relevance.This book will be of interest to researchers in South Asian Literature, South Asian History and Culture, World Literatures in English as well as Area Studies, Security Studies, and Political Theory.

This book presents recently-developed crop, soil, and management practices that can be used to improve phosphorous use efficiency in agriculture. Food security highly depends on the availability of plant nutrients such as phosphorus, yet rock phosphate reserves are expected to be exhausted in the next 50–100 years. Moreover, about 80% of the phosphorous fertilizers applied to soils become unavailable to plants due to phosphorous fixation in iron and aluminum oxides in acidic soils and with carbonates in alkaline soils. As a consequence, only 10-15% of applied phosphorous is up taken by crops. Therefore, there is a need for advanced practices for improving phosphorus use efficiency.

Despite the multidisciplinary approaches of the Indian classics, there are rarely geographical attempts to self-reflect internal social and cultural phenomena, as concluded by Wescoat et al. (2003). They also point out that most of the remarkable work in this field has been presented by non-geographers and for other purposes, geographers have not given serious attention to the work of geographers. This has had the effect of weakening the practice of cultural geography in India. Habitat, economic, and traditional anthropological literature still predominate in geographical publications. These studies include descriptions of tribes and their lives, language differences, and East-West discourse in the representation of cultures and people, including new topics such as cinema., the role of the media, diaspora communities, religious landscapes, sacred geometry, symbolic architecture, and cultural astronomy. The study of pilgrimages and sacred landscapes has also attracted recent attention, which has a long tradition begun by Bhardwaj (1973). Recent additions to these topics include conservation and cultural heritage, always within the framework of an interdisciplinary approach.

So, there is a need to educate people about the reality and mental illness is more common than the people realize. Mental health is an integral and essential component of health. Mental illness is one of the biggest problems which causes a major contribution in death and disease burden in different forms and it also increases the suicidal death risk among youth. Mental illness is seen to vary across time, within the same population at the same time.

Over the years, the town has witnessed significant development in terms of urban infrastructure to meet the growing needs of its residents. The Introduction of urban infrastructure in Domkal has focused on various aspects to improve the quality of life for its inhabitants, and one of the key areas of development has been transportation. The road network has been expanded and improved to ensure better connectivity within the town and to nearby areas. This has facilities, a market, and other essential services for the residents. Another crucial aspect of urban infrastructure development in Domkal has been the improvement of water supply sanitation facilities. Projects have been undertaken to provide clean and safe drinking water to the residents. Measurements have also been taken to improve sanitation infrastructure in toilets and the implementation of waste management systems. Furthermore, Domkal has established educational institutions and healthcare facilities for the growing needs of its population. Domkal notified area has been elevated to municipality status.
