The Veda is not only a religious text, but also a literature of the most ancient period, a primordial source of human, knowledge, "Knowledge par excellence". Social psychology is the scientific study of how people''s thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are influenced by the actual, imagined, or implied presence of others. Today scientific psychology is generally defined as the science of behaviour. The term ''behaviour'' is employed in a very inclusive and comprehensive sense. We may now see the difference between the layperson''s definition of psychology as the science of the mind and the scientific definition of psychology as a science of behaviour. A few decades ago even scientific psychologists defined psychology as the study of the mind. Soon, however, it was found that defining psychology as the field concerned with the study of the mind created certain problems. Social psychologists have studied attitude formation, the structure of attitudes, attitude change, the function of attitudes, and the relationship between attitudes and Behaviour. Because people are influenced by the situation, general attitudes are not always good predictors of specific Behaviour. For a variety of reasons, a person may value the environment and not recycle a can on a particular day. Islam, as a living faith stands for spreading light and eliminating darkness from the world. They contributed a lot to the growth of all branches of knowledge and thus enriched the new civilization. Islam is the complete code of life. It addresses issues, pertaining to almost every walk of life. Since the Prophet (Pbuh) was not formally literate, he never said anything on his own. Select criteria helped in sorting out his sayings, with authenticity and genuineness from amongst a plethora of mix sayings. Finally, about one lakh and fifty thousand sayings were sorted out, which have been collected into six books, based on Prophet''s teachings. Encyclopaedia of Prophet Muhammad''s Teachings is a multi-volume work, based on research and meticulous findings. Comprehensive, extensive exclusive and holistic, as it is, it must create an urge in all quarters of Islamic scholars to possess it.
