This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 36th International Workshop on Combinatorial Algorithms, IWOCA 2025, held in Bozeman, MT, USA, during July 21-24, 2025.The 32 full papers and two abstracts of invited talks included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 71 submissions. The 36 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 72 submissions. The papers feature original research in the areas of combinatorial optimization and its applications. In addition to theoretical results there are reports on experimental and applied research of general algorithmic interest.

The papers in this volume were presented at the 1st International Conference on Algorithmic Applications in Management (AAIM 2005), held June 22-25, 2005 in Xi'an, China. The topics cover algorithmic applications in most manageme- related areas. Submissions to the conference this year were conducted electronically. A - tal of 140 papers were submitted, of which 46 were accepted. The papers were evaluated by an international Program Committee consisting of Franz Aur- hammer, Sergey Bereg, Danny Z. Chen, Jian Chen, Zhixiang Chen, Edith - hen, Xiaotie Deng, Michael Goldwasser, Jason Hartline, Wen-Lian Hsu, Haijun Huang, Minghui Jiang, Ellis Johnson, Naoki Katoh, Masakazu Kojima, Moh- mad Mahdian, Nimrod Megiddo, Zhongping Qin, Panos Pardalos, Chung Keung Poon, Bruce Reed, Shouyang Wang, Peter Widmayer, Yinfeng Xu, Frances Yao, Yinyu Ye and Binhai Zhu. The submitted papers were from Canada, Chile, China, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Iran, Israel, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Singapore, UK and USA. Each paper was evaluated by at least two Program Committee members, assisted in some cases by subreferees.In addition to selected papers, the conference also included two invited presentations, by Ellis Johnson and Yinyu Ye, and two invited papers, by Xujin Chen et al. and Siu-Wing Cheng et al. We thank all the people who made this meeting possible: the authors for s- mitting papers, the Program Committee members and external referees (listed on the pages that follows) for their excellent work, and the two invited speakers.

The refereed proceedings of the 9th Annual International Computing and Combinatorics Conference, COCOON 2003, held in Big Sky, MT, USA in July 2003. The 52 revised full papers presented together with 3 invited contributions were carefully reviewed and selected from 114 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on computational geometry, computational biology, computability and complexity theory, graph theory and graph algorithms, automata and Petri net theory, distributed computing, Web-based computing, scheduling, graph drawing, and fixed-parameter complexity theory.

Running to almost 400 pages, and featuring more than 40 papers, this work on combinatorial optimization and applications will be seen as an important addition to the literature. It constitutes the refereed proceedings of the first International Conference on Combinatorial Optimization and Applications, COCOA 2007, held in Xi'an, China in August of that year. The 29 revised full papers presented together with 8 invited papers and 2 invited presentations were carefully reviewed and selected from 114 submissions and cover both theoretical issues and practical applications.

The Joint Conference provide a focused forum on current trends of research on algorithms, discrete structures, operation research, combinatorial optimization and their applications, and will bring together international experts at the research frontiers in these areas to exchange ideas and to present significant new results. The mission of the Joint Conference is to stimulate the various fields for which algorithmics can become a crucial enabler, and to strengthen the ties between the Eastern and Western research communities of algorithmics and applications.
