Rediscovered after decades spent gathering dust on a family bookshelf, this is the moving account of the life of Captain Stewart, an ordinary officer in the front line in France and Flanders throughout 1916 and 1917.Recruited to The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) in 1915 at the age of 33, Captain Stewart went 'over the top' many times, outliving 'so many better men', as he says with typical humility.Through his vivid testimony we learn of the mud ('more like thick slime'), the flies and the difficulties of suffering dysentry while on horseback. In one memorable passage he describes engaging the enemy while smoking a pipe - an episode for which he was awarded the Military Cross.Yet through the chaos and horror of the trenches, Captain Stewart reflects with compassion on the fears and immense courage of the men under his command.Newly edited by his grandson, Cameron Stewart, A VERY UNIMPORTANT OFFICER gives us a fascinating insight into the horrors and absurdities of trench life.

The Australian Medico-Legal Handbook will be provided with PDA software and aims to give JMOs immediate, clear and concise answers to the most frequently asked legal questions arising during hospital training. Doctors carry very little when they are in the ward but are increasingly carrying PDAs, making the accompanying software an ideal content delivery method.- The handbook and accompanying PDA software is the only one of its kind offered to Australian JMOs.- Content development is based around the authors'' research through ongoing focus groups into the most commonly asked questions by the end user, that is, JMOs in the hospital training environment.- Law updates and other relevant materials (including guidelines and links to relevant Health Department documents) will be provided on the accompanying Evolve site.- Written by a proven author team, each an expert in the medico-legal and/or ethical fields.- Clinical problems will be outlined with cross-referencing to the appropriate sections of the handbook. These questions will be posed in the style and format used by clinicians, for example: ''What if I get sued?'' ''What do I do if someone refuses treatment?'' ''What deaths do I refer to the Coroner?'' ''What if I make a mistake?'' ''Who makes decisions about a child''s treatment?''

He's back where he started, but this go-round he's got more at stake than his own life. The time has arrived . . .Rize or Die.  New York Times bestselling novelist Chuck Palahniuk and acclaimed artist Cameron Stewart have collaborated for one of the most highly anticipated comic book and literary events-the return of Tyler Durden. The first rule of Fight Club 2 might be not to talk about it, but Fight Club 2 is generating international headlines and will introduce a new generation of readers to Project Mayhem. Praise for the comics that comprise Fight Club 2: “At turns deeply poignant and very funny, Palahniuk’s freakish fables capture a twisted zeitgeist and add an oddly inspirational and subversive voice to the contemporary canon….  In the post-9/11 present, a hyperactive, Internet-obsessed, war- and recession-weary America apparently needs Tyler again.”—THE ATLANTIC“The book is fantastic, my highest recommendation.... Excellent work by Cameron Stewart and David Mack, and by our awesome friends at Dark Horse Comics.”—Brian Michael Bendis“If Tyler Durden needed a resurgence, there’s no time like the present for his return… Fight Club 2 is a comic that taps back into everything great about the source material, and one that makes Tyler Durden’s warm nihilistic embrace a welcome draw back into a familiar world of cynicism, violence, and anarchy....“Tyler Lives,” and I couldn’t be happier by the prospect of more bedlam.”—NEWSARAMA“Palahniuk is delivering a worthy sequel to his most beloved story.”—THE NERDIST“Entertaining.”—COMIC BOOK RESOURCES“Excellent.”—THE BEAT“An amazing piece of work. You do not want to miss out on this.”—COMICVINE“Perfect.”—FORCES OF GEEK“We have a worthy sequel on our hands…. A must read.”—COMICOSITY“Cameron Stewart truly outdoes himself on every level in this book.”—BLOODY DISGUSTING“Clever and beautiful.”—COMICS ALLIANCE
