Carl Hendrick är fil. dr i pedagogik på Wellington College i England. I grunden är han engelsklärare. Robin Macpherson är historielärare och just nu vice rektor på Dollar Academy (en framstående internatskola) i Skottland. Både Carl och Robin har lång erfarenhet av läraryrket och föreläser ofta vid konferenser om skola och utbildning, till exempel researchED.
