Die Braunkohlesanierung ist eines der größten Umweltprojekte Europas. Ca. 30 Braunkohlentagebaue und fast 90 Standorte von Kraftwerks- und Veredlungsanlagen werden seit Anfang der 90er Jahre des 20.
