In a second step the data was discussed in comparison to industry peers and financial ratios were calculated. Long term financial planning approaches were reviewed and planning models were discussed. In a last step a "e;percentage of sales"e; model was applied to developa potential scenario for KLA-Tencor Corp. over the next 4 years until 2012 based on forecasts of market research institutes. The assignment ends with potential conclusions how KLA-Tencor coulduse its financial strength for a rapid growth over the next years.

Some will need just seconds and go forthe last winter s solution, but others will seriously consider changes or even take action to implement those. What is driving their decision? The other side is the tenant, thousands of private households or the consumer paying for a service unavoidable linked to the winter season in Germany. This side most likely rethinks their spending when they get the annual receipt of operating expenses. There is not really an option they have to avoid or reduce the costs related to winter services. Moreover, those costs are not even related to direct consumption. So, do tenants look for ways to reduce costs for winter services? Do they see value in this service or how much they are willing to spend for it?The objective of this assignment is to answer the raised questions. To do so a precondition is to analyze the market of winter services in Germany according to general facts, types of contract, service features and way of contract closure. The investigations should be based on surveys research and secondary data. The assignment starts with a quick recapitulation of the basics of telephone interviews. In a next section the German market of winter services is reviewed using secondary data mainly from the internet and from public statistics yearbooks. In a third section the design of the questionnaire is described that was used to gather an initial set of data. The main part of the assignment is designated to the analysis of the telephone interviews. The conclusions section should give the reader possible answers to the raised questions.

The book presents about 100 current examples of how energy and materials can be saved in manufacturing companies. They serve to show which measures can be used in modern companies to exploit the potential for resource efficiency. The book is aimed at practitioners in companies and consulting firms, but is also suitable for the university sector as a practical introduction to the topic of resource efficiency. The materials used account for almost 43 percent of the costs of an average industrial company in Germany. Personnel costs, on the other hand, are only 22 percent, while energy costs are as low as 2 percent. If a company wants to save costs, above all it must consider the use of materials and produce in a resource-efficient manner. This simultaneously relieves the environment and reduces dependence on scarce raw materials. The implementation of resource efficiency is not easy. There are indeed numerous starting points in production, often in process innovations orin product development. However, only a few companies publish their measures and savings potentials. In practice, this means that there are often no learning examples in practice, but some of them are explicitly listed in this work. As you can see, resource efficiency in production and products can also be seen as a success factor for many companies. In the project 100 Pioneers in Efficient Resource Management, committed companies from Baden-Wuerttemberg are showing their solutions. The project was carried out by a competent team from the Pforzheim University and the State Agency for Environmental Technology. Leading trade associations in Baden-Württemberg have supported it.
