Sandi and Michael decide to buy a dog for the family. The family takes off to the SPCA to look for a dog. Patrick and Annie are really excited walking through the aisles and looking at all the animals. After agreeing to a dog they all like, the family takes the dog home. Everyone loves the cute little dog, but they have a hard time finding a name to call it. Patrick, being his mischievous self, thinks it is funny to pull the dogs tail, even after Sandi tells him not to. He is shocked when the dog spins around and reacts.

Patrick and Annie decide to give their dog, Spam, a bath. Patrick thinks it will help his parents out with the chores. Little does he know, his helping will land him in more trouble with his parents. Patrick is confused and does not understand why his parents are upset.
