Project sponsors in Europe are facing more and more difficulty when acquiring conventional long-term bank loans for infrastructure projects. This has led to much discussion on non-conventional bank funding options for infrastructure deals in the future. This book analyses the project bond financing solution in detail, identifying all the specific features that make it highly suitable for large capital intensive infrastructure projects. The first part of the book assesses the main characteristics and prerequisites of project finance, including public-private partnership, infrastructure project assets and greenfield versus brownfield projects. It then discusses the European infrastructure project finance market in detail, before comparing bank conventional lending versus the project bond solution. In the final part of the book, the author presents the Europe 2020 project bond initiative, and reveals a range of key case studies and their findings.

Band Xj2 des Handbuches der Medizinischen Radiologie behandelt die Erkrankungen des Herzens und der thorakalen Aorta (auBer MiBbildungen - vgl. Bd. Xj4) sowie der Venen im Mediastinum. Wegen des sonst zu groBen Umfanges erschien es zweckmiiBig, diesen Band zu teilen. Zuniichst erscheint hiermit sein 2. Teil: Band Xj2 b. Fur ihn hat SCHOLMERICH die differential-diagnostisch so wichtigen Kapitel uber intrakardiale Verkalkungen, Herzthromben, Herz-und Perikardtumoren sowie parasitare Erkrankungen des Herzens bearbeitet. Es folgen von DI GUGLIELMO und MONTEMARTINI (in Englisch) die Erkrankungen der CoronargefaBe und ihre Rontgendarstellung, eingeleitet durch Ausfiihrungen uber die normale und pathologische Morphologie der Coronararterien (SCHOENMACKERS). Spezielle Kapitel sind dem Altersherz, der sog. Myodegeneration cordis, den Herzver- anderungen bei arterieller Hypertonie und anderen Erkrankungen des Kreislaufs gewidmet (HOEFFKEN, FELIX U. WOLFERS). ROSSI geht in einem gesonderten Abschnitt auf Besonderheiten der Rontgenologie des Herzens im Kindesalter ein, namentlich in Bezug auf die Nativuntersuchung.Die folgenden Erkrankungen der thorakalen Aorta (mit Ausnahme der Fehlbildungen, die Bd. Xj4 enthalt) haben GREMMEL, DUHMKE und SCHULTE-BRINKMANN bearbeitet. Den AbschluB bildet das Kapitel von ANACKER uber die Erkrankungen der Venen im Mediastinum. Neben den ublichen und seltenen pathologischen Veranderungen sind dort auch die rontgenologisch wichtigen Besonderheiten nach Schrittmacher-Implantationen berucksichtigt. Allen beteiligten Autoren gebuhrt unser herzlicher Dank, vor aHem denen, die schon vor mehreren J ahren ihr Manuskript abgeliefert hatten und sich nun der Muhe unter- zogen haben, es erneut zu bearbeiten und auf den neuesten Stand zu bringen.
