Originally published in 1908 as part of the English Literature for Schools series, this book contains the 1922 reprint of selections from Daniel Defoe's novel about the English Civil War. O'Neill supplies an introduction on the writing of the novel as well as critical notes on the text at the end of the volume. This book will be of value to anyone with an interest in the history of English literature or the history of education.
