The volume contributes to the food-energy-water nexus by developing modeling frameworks for ex-ante policy simulation. The frameworks are used to analyze four policies - biofuels production, irrigation expansion, improved cookstoves and agroforestry - that provide a large scope for realizing synergies between food security, energy and water.
