A strange military figure doesn’t seem to take kindly to their presence there. Meanwhile, Reiji, Mizuki, and Titania’s demon subjugation is put on temporary hold for an emergency rescue mission. They’ll make an interesting discovery or two along the way. And just where is Felmenia in all of this?

Suimei finally has his base set up, new housemate and all, and is primed to devote himself to his research in trying to find a way back home. But things are never that simple for our hard-luck anti-hero from another world. Meanwhile, Reiji and his newly expanded group take up their quest to locate a legendary weapon that might help in the war against the demons. He’s in for a pleasant surprise when he finds out Lefille’s taken the same job, but sunny skies quickly turn ominous as a perfect storm of chaos and intrigue looms on the horizon. It turns out Suimei and Lefille will hit danger, darkness, blood, and betrayal—all before they even reach the Empire. Meanwhile, Reiji and his group hit their own patch of rough weather.

Suimei and Lefille continue on their journey together towards the Empire, but stumbling across a grievously wounded survivor from a second attack on the trade corps sends Lefille running in the other direction.
