Frank Talley joined the navy for a four year hitch to enable him to use the G.I. Bill to attend college. He was stationed at the Jacksonville Naval Base when his enlistment expired. While undergoing his discharge routine he met Megan, the WAVE Assistant to his commanding officer. He asked for a date, she agreed and both quickly fell in love.Frank would be living with his aunt and uncle in Oyster Shores, 20 miles north of Tampa. He invited Megan and her commanding officer to visit him when his aunt and uncle were on a trip she agreed and they spent a delightful visit on the beach.Megan and Frank were happily married for two months when she was killed in a head on collision with a semi driven by a drunken driver.For the next 10 years he lived on the beach in a beautiful home on a beautiful beach on the Gulf of Mexico.
