Nachhaltigkeit, so das Plädoyer des Autors, ist ein integraler Bestandteil des architektonischen Entwurfs und der Konstruktion. Dafür hat er einen ganzheitlichen Ansatz entwickelt: Ein flexibles Holzbausystem, das die Interaktion der Nutzer*innen mit dem Gebäude ins Zentrum des Entwurfs rückt. Die nachhaltige Bauweise wird nicht allein durch das Material Holz erreicht, sondern auch durch die Flexibilität und Anpassungsfähigkeit der Wohngebäude. Im Buch werden zwölf Architekturprojekte vorgestellt, analysiert und verglichen, die die weitreichenden Potenziale dieses Bausystems aufzeigen.
