Hans Günther zeigt die Herausbildung des sowjetischen Heldenmythos am Werk von Maksim Gorkij. Gorkij gestaltet Nietzsches Vorstellung vom Übermenschen in immer neuen Variationen, wobei er sich eine allmähliche Verlagerung vom Vitalismus nietzschescher Prägung zum Marxismus beobachten läßt.
