The first step necessary when writing aboutthis topic is to define the term multiethnic . According to Collins English Dictionary1 multiethnic means consisting of, relating to, or designed for various different races . Thus,this presentation will not focus on the different nationalities living in London but on thedifferent distinct races residing in the British capital. Moreover, Third Countries will be in thecentre of attention, which are nations outside the current 15 member states of the EuropeanUnion. As many European races do not really differ much from each other and as the many differentcommunities are listed among the white community, they are not of much relevance today,when talking about multiethnic London. With London being one of the most multiracial cities in the world, it is important andinteresting to find out why this is the case and how the different ethnic groups integrate andcontribute to cultural and social life. The first part of this presentation will concentrate on history and immigration to London andthe corresponding legislation from the beginning of the 20th century onwards. The next chapter will focus on race relations, both the legislation and the reactions ofLondoners towards the newcomers from all parts of the world. The third part of this essay will present the most important and largest ethnic minority groupsin London, the Asian and Black communities. Out of personal interest and because I thinkthey are the most relevant group, I put an emphasis on the various Asian communities. Anforderungen an das unternehmerische Risikomanagement im Gesamtzusammenhang einer effektiven Corporate Governance sind anhaltend Gegenstand wissenschaftlicher Diskussionen und politischer Reformkurse. Die grundsätzlich zweckabhängige Interpretation von Risiko und entsprechenden Risikofrüherkennungsmaßnahmen offenbart ein Spannungsverhältnis in der konzeptionellen Ausgestaltung.Ausgangspunkt der Überlegungen bildet die Vorschrift des § 91 Abs. 2 AktG zur Früherkennung bestandsgefährdender Entwicklungen gemäß KonTraG. Heike Winter vergleicht ein bilanzielles Risikomanagement, das auf eine imparitätische Erfassung von Verlusten zum Abschlussstichtag abstellt, mit einem wertorientierten Risikomanagement, das sämtliche Gefährdungen der unternehmenswertbestimmenden Faktoren im Unternehmen berücksichtigt, z.B. das Humankapital. An letztere Ausrichtung knüpfen die Bemühungen zur Verbesserung der unternehmensweiten Corporate Governance an. Für die Vermittlung entscheidungserheblicher Informationen über die wirtschaftliche Lage der Gesellschaft bedeutet das, in verstärktem Maße wertorientierte Größen in die externe Rechnungslegung zu integrieren. Die Autorin kommt zu dem Schluss, dass die für eine zwecktaugliche Berichterstattung erforderliche Objektivierung mittels geeigneter Zusatzinstrumente - etwa der Balanced Scorecard - zu gewährleisten ist.
