The conference "Analysis of Controlled Dynamical Systems" was held in July 1990 at the University of LYON FRANCE. About hundred participants attended this conference which lasted four days : There were 50 speakers from departments of Engineering and Mathematics in east and west Europe, USA and USSR. The general subject of the conference was system theory. The main topics were optimal control, structure and control of nonlinear systems, stabilization and observers, differential algebra and systems theory, nonlinear aspects of Hoc theory, rigid and flexible mechanical systems, nonlinear analysis of signals. We are indebted to the scientific committee John BAILLIEUL, Michel FLIESS, Bronislaw JAKUBCZYCK, Hector SUSSMANN, Jan WILLEMS. We gratefully acknowledge the time and thought they gave to this task. Die Gesellschaft fur Informatik bietet ihren Mitgliedern, den auf dem Ge- biet der Informatik tatigen Fachleuten und in zunehmendem MaBe auch der Offentlichkeit auf ihren Jahrestagungen einen Uberblick uber aktuelle Entwicklungen ihres Gebietes. Die 13. Jahrestagung in Hamburg, fur die der Erste Burgermeister Klaus v. Dohnanyi die Schirmherrschaft ubernommen hat, steht unter dem Leit- thema "Neuere Sprachkonzepte und Architekturen informationsverarbeitender Systeme" Das Hauptprogramm enthalt eingeladene Hauptvortrage mit Ubersichtscha- rakter sowie Fachbeitrage, die aus den eingereichten Beitragen ausge- wahlt wurden. Eine Reihe von Fachgesprachen zu speziellen Themen dient dem intensiven Austausch von Erfahrungen und Fachwissen auf einzelnen Gebieten. Zur Tagunq und ihren hier vorliegenden Ergebnissen haben die Mitqlieder des Proqrammausschusses, die Koordinatoren und Programmkomitees der Fachgesprache und das Organisationskomitee am Ort unter dem Vorsitz von E. Jessen und K. Kaiser wesentlich beiqetragen. Ihnen sei an dieser Stelle herzlich qedankt.Das Bemuhen urn eine hohe Aktualitat der Beitrage war mit dem Ziel, den Tagungsband mit den schriftlichen Fassungen zurn Zeitpunkt der Tagung herauszubringen, nur bedingt vereinbar. Daher enthalt dieser Band auch kurzere Fassunqen, und in wenigen Fallen war die Veroffentlichung der Beitrage nicht mehr moqlich. Die Beitraqe zum Fachgesprach "Sprachen fur Datenbanken" werden ihres Gesamturnfangs wegen in einem gleichzeitig in derselben Reihe erscheinen- den eigenen Taqunqsband veroffentlicht. Die Herausqabe hat dankenswerter- weise Herr J. W. Schmidt ubernommen.
