Explores the philosophical theology of Alfred North Whitehead. This study focuses on the philosophical theology of Alfred North Whitehead. Whitehead follows the tradition of the great rationalists in depicting a deity, which is embedded in the philosophical structure of the cosmos. He provides one of the most consistent models of the deity in our philosophical tradition. Contemporary theologians, such as John B. Cobb Jr. and Schubert M. Orden, turn to Whitehead for support of their own theories. This work is also an attempt to explicate and critically analyze their contribution toward formulating a doctrine of God.
