This book offers different perspectives on China's business and law. It aims to offer an introduction into both theoretical and practical aspects of Chinas law on foreign related business affairs. This comprises economic and political background information, including Chinas economic evolution and China-EU trade relations, in addition to more detailed information on selected subject areas important to foreign related business affairs in China, namely commercial arbitration law, contract law ,company law , IPR protection, financial law, foreign direct investment law, and also the establishment of overseas branches of Chinese companies in the EU.Perspectives on Chinese Business and Law thus introduces the reader to the current Chinese legislations on foreign related business.

The rise of Asia and the dynamics of Asian economic development have impacted global trade relationships and regional cooperation tremendously. Legal education systems, like legal systems themselves, were framed across Asia without exception according to foreign models. These reflect the vestiges of colonialism, and can be said to amount to imitating the style and purposes of legal education typical in Western and relatively "pure" common law and civilian systems. Today, however, we see Asian legal education coming into its own and beginning to accept responsibility for designing curricula and approaches that fit the region’s particular needs. This book explores how conventional "transplanted" approaches as regards program design as well as modes of teaching are, or are on the cusp of being, reimagined and discerns emerging home-grown traces of innovation replacing imitation in countries and universities across East Asia.

Among world's three major philosophic traditions, Chinese philosophy excels in ethical discourse. As a collective wisdom on a par with Aristotle's "Ethics" and Kant's "Critique of Practical Reason", Chinese philosophy now needs to be systematized and developed. Today, Chinese philosophy per se has often been reduced to the historical approach to it, hence its slower development in comparison with European and Indian philosophies.
