Regina Guitar and other Short Stories is a compilation of incarnate capsules: Flavored doses, seasoned with the human condition, and served up on the theatrical masks of tragedy and comedy. Here you will find it all from heartrending drama to goofy buffoonery. The perfect selection for those who love to read but have little time to do it.The Serpents of the Caduceus: An exploration of the subconscious mind, that dark and foreboding chamber, inaccessible from the phenomenon we call reality. This story deals the terrifying nightmares, psychotic delusions and horrid hallucinations that plummet through the tormented brain of a mortally wounded soldier.A Fish Story: This is a tongue in cheek tale of a professional fisherman who wins big at a casino poker table, commits 'accidental' murder, and ends up with a Government Patton on a word known product.Tooter and the Tutor: A brief and funny narrative, revealing just how easy it is for a country boy to fool his summer school teacher.Humanity's Three Most Unusual Sneezes: A completely insane bit of slapstick comedy. A "e;documentary"e; which chronicles a trio of sneezes and the calamity and chaos rendered by each.Openers: This story offers insight into the "e;it's not my fault"e; life of a looser. When a beautiful woman sits down beside a socially handicapped bus passenger, he blames the world for his inability to think of a pickup line.Cowboy Shootout: A Texas Ramrod on a cattle drive to Kansas must ride his horse backward, and mistakenly herds his Moos to Yuma, Arizona. There, a reluctant cowpoke is forced to protect his lovely lady from Awful Alvin Aggravation, the meanest outlaw and fastest gun this side of the Pecos.Hector the Pup: The cute and cagy puppy shenanigans of a cunning canine whelp, desperate to find food for his injured father.Frankie Farone: Frankie had a boyfriend named Johnny and he and Nelly Bligh end up in a very bad way. Does this remind you of an old, familiar song? Don't be fooled. Like the disclaimer says, "e;any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, events, or locales is entirely coincidental"e;. Well, maybe not entirely coincidental, but pretty darn close. You'll see.Regina Guitar: A teenager transitions from a runaway girl to a young woman in search of a new life. An emotional, twenty-four hour metamorphosis.

A Poets Passion: An in-depth versification of one man's life. It is a compilation of forty years of life events in rhyme and recollection. The emotion of this poet's passion smoothly assimilates into the mind and heart of the reader. A Poet's Passion: a wonderful and fulfilling read for the true poetry lover.A sampling from A Poet's Passion~~~Megalopolis~~~Metallic click and buzzing humFrom neon metronomes,Syncopates the yellow eyeOf winking traffic lights.Half a page of Wednesday's newsEscapes from litter jail,Then skids off through the flashing night,Like some stumbling, drunken gull.Slender, stunted CyclopesStand their red-eyed watch,Awaiting copper snacks that startDigestive ticking from within.A timid dog slinks slowly pastWith tail between its legs,Then fades into black alley shadowsIn search of garbage cans. From afar a woman laughs,Then a car door slams.Squalling tires and engine's roarFade slowly into distance.A chill has crept into the nightAnd brings warm beds to mind.At last the thoughts of sleep appeal,Even without you.~~~***~~~~~~War Plane~~~The blended shriek and thunderIs swallowed up in distance,As the grave and dreaded AzraelEscapes its concrete nest.Angrily arching upward,On a black and fiery tail,A gruesome manmade Griffin,Gone to eat the sun.~~~***~~~~~~A Poet's Passion!~~~Passion! Take me into your arms,Embrace my eager body.Guide me through my brief existence,That I might knowAnd haveAnd beAll that life does offer.Passion! Fuel my thirsty soulSeduce me with flaming fury.Light my path to prosperity,And the lusty madness of amour.Passion! Intoxicating elixir,Give me drink your magic potion,Whet my appetite with ambition,Strengthen my drive and resolve.Quick, my passion!Ignite my craving, my desire.Look! The sky grows ashen gray,The sun will soon be setting.~~~***~~~~~~The Slicer's Nicer~~~Snip, snip,The censor's shearsHave come to cut offBoth your ears!Back in the ancient days of yoreThey'd end the mucky, foul rapportBy snipping ears off by the score.Splash, splashThe acid fliesInto your faceTo blind your eyes.Virtue they personifyWith oil of vitriol in the eye.One tiny drop to purifyThe lusty sights you must deny.Stitch, stitch,The needle zips,Through the fleshTo seal the lips.A better man you are this way.No more vulgar things you'll say.'Tis such a minor price to payTo keep you pure for Judgment Day.But progress has now changed the scene. The censors have a new machine,That quickly ends all things obscene.I think it's called a guillotine.~~~***~~~

A soldier, a Dear John Letter, a mysterious envelope and a beautiful woman, guided by the stars and oracles. Mixed together they become Sergeant Matt Mathews' exotic Siam Song.

Southern Gothic rags to riches. When the Gristwall boy was born prematurely, he was no bigger than a baking potato, so they called him Spud. His grandparents let him live in the cowshed, when he was good. When he was a bad boy, he lived under the back porch. The good fairy that brought him riches and his escape from poverty, owned the town and the souls of everyone in it. While Europe suffered under the shadow of Adolf Hitler's Swastika, Taloowa County, Alabama dealt with Spuds benefactor, Rudolf Kitler and the shadow of his Big Yellow Mama. Times were tough; there was the depression, and then came World War II. When Spud found out his boss was not just into vice but eugenics and genocide as well, life went from hard times to deadly dealings.
