Das vorliegende Lehrbuch bietet eine fundierte Einführung in die Planung und Steuerung von Projekten. Es basiert auf Vorlesungen für Studierende betriebswirtschaftlich und technisch orientierter Studiengänge. Grundlagen des Projektmanagements und der Projektplanung werden in didaktisch ansprechender Form vermittelt und anhand zahlreicher Beispiele illustriert. Bei der Auswahl des Lehrstoffs wurde besonderer Wert auf die Praxisrelevanz der behandelten quantitativen Methoden gelegt. Im Einzelnen behandelt das Buch die wesentlichen Managementaufgaben bei der Konzeption und Durchführung von Projekten, deterministische und stochastische Netzplantechniken, grundlegende Modelle und Verfahren zur Projektplanung unter Zeit- und Ressourcenrestriktionen, Methoden zur Kostenplanung von Projekten sowie Einsatzmöglichkeiten von Softwaresystemen zur Unterstützung des Projektplaners.
