In addition to being born highly spirited, inquisitive, and stubborn, Kathryn was also her parents worst nightmare. She was ill from the day she was born. Her parents were unable to find any physician or surgeon who could find the root cause of her pain. The medical profession had not evolved much at the time of her birth, as X-rays were still being read by holding them up to a ceiling light. Political correctness had not yet become a part of how the medical profession treated their patients or the parents of an ill child. The science of medical equipment and the physical symptoms of an ill individual progressed slowly. For within the human body, there were organs that could not be seen.

That would change, under God in the United States of America. One of the beneficiaries of that change would be a girl named Kathryn.

Sometimes its more prudent to ignore a conceivable problem than to insert oneself into the middle of it and thinking you can make it go away. Kassie, a sensitive, caring person inserted herself into a situation her roommate and friend, Jackie, couldnt comprehend. Both were flight attendants, with different backgrounds and values. Their priorities and lifestyles were on the same page only after they changed professions. When they became registered nurses, they became a part of the medical profession, associating with physicians and surgeons, nursing staff and patients. Nothing prepared either of them for the turmoil existing in the private lives of their medical colleagues. Then, everything got blurred when one of them became too inquisitive.

Itd been a couple years since Sybil filed for divorce. As an attorney married to a surgeon, she found herself pregnant. Dr. Nicholas Amaraz knew it wasnt his child, but he didnt want to end his marriage either. He didnt believe in divorce.

He lived alone, and his days were long and somewhat lonely until the day he walked into Pepes Restaurant. The cuisine was impressive, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the owner, Peter, was an inquisitive, congenial and faith-based individual who learned that faith-based Dr. Amaraz was also an excellent chef.

One evening, as he was leaving Pepes, Dr. Amaraz crossed paths with a lady whose etiquette was sorely lacking. Intrigued, he asked Peter about her. Peter was well aware of Baileys shortcomings, but he also knew she had secrets. Dr. Amaraz persisted, and eventually he and Bailey began a rocky relationship. When Dr. Amaraz was invited to a medical symposium in Israel, everything changed. The lives of Peter, Bailey, and Nicholas could, or would, never be the same again.
