Es werden Ansätze für eine ökumenische Pneumatologie entfaltet, im Rückgriff auf exegetische, patristische und liturgisch-theologische Erkenntnisse und die neuere systematisch-theologische orthodoxe und evangelische Literatur. Die Ergebnisse früherer Dialogtagungen finden darin eine weiterführende Aufnahme. Im Kommuniqué werden Konvergenzen, insbesondere in den Bereichen der Pneumatologie, Eschatologie und Ekklesiologie formuliert.[We Believe in the Holy Spirit. XVII. Meeting in the Bilateral Theological Dialogue between the EKD and the Ecumenical Patriarchate]The present volume documents the XVIIth meeting in the bilateral theological dialogue between the EKD and the Ecumenical Patriarchate and contains all the presentations as well as the communiqué of the meeting. Approaches for an ecumenical pneumatology are developed, drawing on exegetical, patristic and liturgical-theological insights and the more recent systematic-theological Orthodox and Protestant literature. The results of previous dialogue conferences are taken up and developed further. In the communiqué, convergences are formulated, especially in the fields of pneumatology, eschatology and ecclesiology.

Dieser Band dokumentiert die 18. Dialogbegegnung von Theologinnen und Theologen des Ökumenischen Patriarchats und der Evangelischen Kirche in Deutschland, die vom 3. bis 7. Oktober 2022 in Berlin stattfand. Im Mittelpunkt der Begegnung stand der Austausch über die Texte des Heiligen und Großen Konzils der Orthodoxen Kirche (Kreta 2016) und deren Bedeutung für die Beziehungen zur Evangelischen Kirche. Ausführlich thematisiert wurden das Konzilsdokument »Der Auftrag der Orthodoxen Kirche in der heutigen Welt«, das Dekret des Konzils über die Beziehungen zur nicht-orthodoxen Christenheit und die nach dem Konzil entstandene Schrift »Für das Leben der Welt«. The meeting focussed on an exchange of views on the texts of the Holy and Great Council of the Orthodox Church (Crete 2016) and their significance for the relations with the Protestant Church. The Council document »Der Auftrag der Orthodoxen Kirche in der heutigen Welt«, the Council''s decree on relations with non-Orthodox Christianity and the text »Für das Leben der Welt«, which was written after the Council, were discussed in detail. From a Protestant perspective, the ecumenical significance of the Council texts was developed in theological and ethical terms.
