Dieses Lehrbuch stellt eine umfassende Einführung in die Datenübertragung dar. Ausgehend von den theoretischen Grundlagen der Nachrichten- und Informationstechnik werden die in der Praxis eingesetzten und u.a. vom CCITT standardisierten Verfahren dargestellt, wobei der Autor die einzelnen Komponenten eines Übertragungssystems von der Quelle bis zur Senke erläutert.
