It contains introductory level lectures on lattice gases, and on CA turbulence, diffusion-reaction processes, percolation and self-organised criticality. Further, it gives a variety of astrophysical applications, including stellar oscillations, galactic evolution, distribution of luminous matter in the universe, etc.
