Ausstellungen sind sozial umkämpfte Räume. Hier wird verhandelt, wer spricht und wer gehört wird. (Un-)Bewusste Intentionen der Ausstellungsmacher_innen treffen räumlich vermittelt auf vermeintliche Deutungen der Besucher_innen. Doch was passiert in diesem Setting tatsächlich?Bislang betrachtete die Forschung kunsthistorische Inszenierungsanalysen und empirische Besucher_innenforschung vorwiegend getrennt. Die Frage nach dem Verhältnis von Menschen und Dingen im Raum wurde vergleichsweise selten gestellt.
