Affekter och förändring är en handbok för att förstå och förebygga våld genom att arbeta med kroppens signaler. Våld börjar inte med ord eller handlingar – det börjar med subtila affekter, det vill säga kroppsliga impulser som föregår både tankar och känslor. Genom att lära oss att känna igen och förändra dessa signaler kan vi bryta destruktiva mönster innan de leder till våld.
Med forumteater som metod ger boken praktiska verktyg för att utforska konflikter, förtryck och svåra situationer genom att kliva in i olika roller. Metoden är anpassningsbar och tillgänglig även för personer med intellektuella funktionsnedsättningar eller begränsad språkerfarenhet – kroppen talar sitt eget språk.
Boken passar för alla som arbetar med grupper från 15 år och uppåt. Den är framtagen av Svenska Dövidrottsförbundet i samarbete med RFSU Stockholm och Riksteatern Crea.
