One of the greatest challenges facing modern global health is how to include the most marginalized and impoverished people in international efforts to promote social and economic development. Psychoprosthetics brings together, into one easily accessible volume, the most recent and exciting research and knowledge in this new field. Psychoprosthetics is defined as the study of psychological aspects of prosthetic use, and of rehabilitative processes in those conditions that require the use of prosthetic devices.

This volume argues for the development of a macro perspective within psychology that more effectively incorporates social structures, systems, policies, and institutions.
