But just a few days before the event kicks off, her aspirations are jeopardized when a massive group of adventurers swarm Iffole Counter! It turns out they’ve all been tricked into believing that anyone who finds and clears a secret quest will get a powerful Dia kill. So what’s a girl to do? Simple—give the creator of that baseless rumor a beatdown!

BIRTHDAY BREAK OR BUST! Despite her best efforts, Alina Clover once again finds herself sneaking off in the night to smash dungeon monsters (and walls) to cut down on her over time. But a glimmer of hope emerges when she hears about a new policy being implemented at the office: Employees who submit an effective business betterment plan will be given a day off on their birthday. Alina is determined to snag that birthday break yet is totally stumped when it comes to ideas. Maybe she can get some inspiration at the annual receptionist training seminar…But with this much overtime, will she even get to go?

When Alina is assigned to oversee a battle tournament held once every four years, she knows she's in for one hell of a workload. Good thing Iffole Counter is holding the grand prize, a rare and valuable statue which is, crucially, unbreakable—it’s the perfect thing to take out her frustrations on. That is, until she smacks it too hard, and its head pops right off! Will she have to pay for it? And worse, what if someone finds out a mere receptionist broke the unbreakable? Alina’s only choice is to glue the thing back together, win the tournament, and take home the prize herself!

Seeing Glen Garia, the highest authority of the Adventurers Guild, standing in front of her reception desk is terrifying enough for poor Alina, and what he has to say is no relief: His skill, Sigurth Chronos, let him look into the past and glimpse beneath the hood of the “Executioner,” Alina’s alter ego! Glen invites—or rather, orders—her to guild headquarters and offers her a way out. If she wants to keep her comfy job and avoid getting press-ganged into the Silver Sword party, all she has to do is defeat the Guildmaster himself!

The new dungeon, Chalk Tower, is riddled with unpredictable situations! Boss-class foes wandering the halls might not slow down Alina, but the annihilation of Rufus’s party at the hands of an unknown enemy stops her and her temporary comrades in their tracks…! Silver Sword reluctantly opts for a withdrawal—that means escape from adventuring duty for Alina and a return at last to her beloved job as a receptionist! But for some reason, a sense of unease lingers. Meanwhile, Rufus joins Silver Sword as the vanguard, and the party attempts to clear Chalk Tower once more.
