This volume contains the proceedings of the virtual AMS Special Session on Geometric and Algebraic Aspects of Quantum Groups and Related Topics, held from November 20-21, 2021. Noncommutative algebras and noncommutative algebraic geometry have been an active field of research for the past several decades, with many important applications in mathematical physics, representation theory, number theory, combinatorics, geometry, low-dimensional topology, and category theory. Papers in this volume contain original research, written by speakers and their collaborators. Many papers also discuss new concepts with detailed examples and current trends with novel and important results, all of which are invaluable contributions to the mathematics community.

This volume contains the proceedings of the 2024 Spring Central Sectional Meeting, held at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee, WI, on April 20-21, 2024. Our motivation for this volume is to fill the void of mathematical literature in the current developments of artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, geometric deep learning, geometric information theory, etc. While there are some excellent mathematical ideas in such developments, the literature is flooded by papers and books written by computer scientists and engineers that lightly touch upon these subjects, thereby missing deep mathematical understanding. This makes it difficult for anyone who wants to enter such areas of research. What is missing in the literature is exactly the theoretical mathematical background in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Featuring research from the 2017 research symposium of the Association for Women in Mathematics, this volume presents recent findings in pure mathematics and a range of advances and novel applications in fields such as engineering, biology, and medicine.

The book features the research talks and poster presentations delivered at the 2022 AWM (Association for Women in Mathematics) Research Symposium which was held at The Institute for Mathematics and Its Applications and the University of Minnesota, June 16-19, 2022.
