This book presents the proceedings of the “5th International Interdisciplinary Chaos Symposium on Chaos and Complex Systems (CCS).” All Symposia in the series bring together scientists, engineers, economists and social scientists, creating a vivid forum for discussions on the latest insights and findings obtained in the areas of complexity, nonlinear dynamics and chaos theory, as well as their interdisciplinary applications. This book encompasses a diverse array of contemporary topics in chaos theory nonlinear dynamics and applications of theirs, including theory of nonlinear dynamics, mathematical chaos, physics and astronomy, circuits and systems, memristors, complex networks, pattern formation, biological systems, time-series analysis, and the intricate behaviors of neural, psychological, psychosocial, socio-economic, and global systems. The conference serves as a platform for scientists, engineers, economists, and social scientists to come together and discuss the latest advancements and findings in the realm of nonlinear and complex (chaotic) system behavior.The 6th International Interdisciplinary Chaos Symposium on Chaos and Complex Systems, held from May 8 to May 10, 2025, in Istanbul, Turkey, continued a tradition of dialogue and discovery bringing together researchers, engineers, economists, and social scientists from around the globe in a shared effort to explore the latest developments and applications in nonlinear science and complexity. As expected, it expanded its scope to cover a broader range of subjects such as unconventional cryptography, physical unclonable functions, reservoir computing, and quantum information, further enriching the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and research.

The International Multidisciplinary Microscopy Congress (INTERM2013) was organized on October 10-13, 2013. The aim of the congress was to bring together scientists from various branches to discuss the latest advances in the field of microscopy. The contents of the congress have been broadened to a more "interdisciplinary" scope, so as to allow all scientists working on related subjects to participate and present their work.These proceedings include 39 peer-reviewed technical papers, submitted by leading academic and research institutions from over 12 countries and representing some of the most cutting-edge research available. The 39 papers are grouped into the following sections:- Applications of Microscopy in the Physical Sciences- Applications of Microscopy in the Biological Sciences

The focus of the congress has been widened in an "interdisciplinary" manner, so as to allow all scientists working on several related subjects to participate and present their work.These proceedings include 33 peer-reviewed technical papers, submitted by leading academic and research institutions from over 17 countries and representing some of the most cutting-edge research available. Complexity Science and Chaos Theory are fascinating areas of scientific research with wide-ranging applications.  The interdisciplinary nature and ubiquity of complexity and chaos are features that provides scientists with a motivation to pursue general theoretical tools and frameworks. Complex systems give rise to emergent behaviors, which in turn produce novel and interesting phenomena in science, engineering, as well as in the socio-economic sciences. The aim of all Symposia on Chaos and Complex Systems (CCS) is to bring together scientists, engineers, economists and social scientists, and to discuss the latest insights and results obtained in the area of corresponding nonlinear-system complex (chaotic) behavior. Especially for the “4th International Interdisciplinary Chaos Symposium on Chaos and Complex Systems,” which took place April 29th to May 2nd, 2012 in Antalya, Turkey, the scope of the symposium had been further enlarged so as to encompass the presentation of work from circuits to econophysics, and from nonlinear analysis to the history of chaos theory.   The corresponding proceedings collected in this volume address a broad spectrum of contemporary topics, including but not limited to networks, circuits, systems, biology, evolution and ecology, nonlinear dynamics and pattern formation, as well as neural, psychological, psycho-social, socio-economic, management complexity and global systems.
