Beim Internationalen Seminar der Internationalen Koordinierung Revolutionärer Parteien und Organisationen (ICOR) und der Internationalen Konferenz Marxistisch-Leninistischer Parteien und Organisationen (ICMLPO), das vom 27. bis 29. Oktober 2017 in Bottrop/Deutschland stattfand, debattierten unter einer international zusammengesetzten Leitung 1.050 Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer aus 44 Ländern und aus über 60 Organisationen aus diesen Ländern über die theoretischen und praktischen Lehren der Oktoberrevolution.Die bebilderte Dokumentation gibt dieses spannende Ereignis wieder. Sie enthält: alle Einleitungsbeiträge – sowohl den von Stefan Engel zum Seminar als Ganzes als auch die zu den einzelnen Diskussionsblöcken. Zudem die Rede der MLPD-Vorsitzenden Gabi Fechtner auf der großen Kulturveranstaltung. Das Buch bietet auch eine repräsentative Auswahl von Redebeiträgen zu den einzelnen Themenblöcken und veröffentlicht darüber hinaus persönliche Eindrücke von Seminarteilnehmern. Zimmerwald 1915: ein kleiner Ort im Berner Mittelland. Geheim und als Vogelkundler getarnt, treffen sich mitten im Ersten Weltkrieg 38 fuhrende Kriegsgegnerinnen und Kriegsgegner aus 11 europaischen Landern. Die Arbeiter, die breiten Massen und ihre Familien leiden - auf allen Seiten der Grenzen. Die Zimmerwalder hat ein Wunsch zusammengefuhrt: den Krieg zu beenden, der "e;Burgfriedenpolitik"e; entgegenzutreten. Es wird hei und kontrovers diskutiert - aber doch ein gemeinsamer Nenner gefunden. Dieser Krieg muss sofort beendet werden!Zimmerwald 1.0 war ein bedeutender Schritt und schrieb Geschichte. Und heute? 110 Jahre spater wachsen die Gefahren von Faschismus und Krieg. Zimmerwald 2.0 ist ein neuer Anlauf der kontroversen Diskussion und der Einigung im Engagement gegen Faschismus und Krieg. Im September 2025 kommen 403 Teilnehmer*innen aus 34 Landern zusammen, um ihre Friedenskrafte zu bundeln, trotz vieler Differenzen in der Weltanschauung. Der Silberstreif am Horizont ist die Herausbildung des Widerstands der Bevolkerung"e; ist die Botschaft der Schlussresolution Zimmerwald 2.0. Das Buch enthalt historische Dokumente ebenso wie alle Originalbeitrage und die Schlussresolution der Konferenz vom 6. September 2025 in Zurich.
