Geophysical exploration methods are very expensive and invasive methods for surveys. Remote sensing methods are non-invasive and much cheaper for investigating the Earth’s surface. This book bridges this gap and aims to integrate exploration geophysics with remote sensing as a cost-effective method which is easy to implement for prospecting in different areas. It provides exploration geophysicists with the necessary information to use advanced remote sensing technology in the exploration of oil and gas, minerals, and groundwater. It describes the integration of remote sensing in each of the nine exploration methods based on over 11 case studies from different countries across the globe.
Features:
Describes the geophysical exploration methods that geophysicists frequently use, along with suitable remote sensing techniques Offers a well-structured one-stop guide for finding a suitable remote sensing technique for a specific geophysical exploration method Provides case studies on the exploration of oil, gas, and groundwater with step-by-step instructions using remote sensing technology Serves as a practical field book for exploration geophysicists who never used or rarely use remote sensing. Enables exploration geophysicists to understand and interpret remote sensing data for the assessment of complex explorationsThis book is an excellent resource for professionals, researchers, academics, and students with a background in remote sensing across many disciplines in Earth sciences such as geology, hydrology, petrology, mining, geography, geosciences, etc.

Most veterinary physicians work in clinical settings, treating animals directly. These veterinarians may be involved in a general practice, treating animals of all types; they may be specialized in a specific group of animals such as companion animals, livestock, zoo animals or equines; or may specialize in a narrow medical discipline such as surgery, dermatology or internal medicine. As with other healthcare professionals, veterinarians face ethical decisions about the care of their patients. Current debates within the profession include the ethics of certain procedures believed to be purely cosmetic or unnecessary for behavioral issues, such as declawing of cats, docking of tails, cropping of ears and debarking on dogs. This book will provide teachers, students and laymen interested in veterinary science with clear, concise, and correct.

Veterinary Healthcare Services: Options in Delivery book relies on the team approach to veterinary healthcare. The 'how to' format, complete with examples and concepts, is a necessary primer for veterinarians in today's competitive society. The author's active clinicians, offer options and alternatives to old habits in the form of workable solutions. The solutions are then tailored to specific practices and their unique needs. The study has assessed the status and gaps in delivery of animal healthcare services, both curative and preventive. The study has revealed that the policy of delivery of subsidized animal healthcare services (AHS) does not seem to be serving its real purpose as most of the farmers in the study area have been observed to avail the services of private practitioners. The analysis of attributes associated with various AHS providers has revealed that 'proximity' is the major constraining factor in the uptake of AHS. The crossbred cattle ownership, low economic status and distance from nearest AHS centre have emerged as the most significant variables affecting the choice of AHS providers.
