Hinagiku and Sakura are ambushed by insurgents while visiting the Summer Palace! Sakura, alongside Ruri and Ayame Hazakura-Agent and Guard of Summer-fight off the insurgents to protect the natural order and procession of seasons. But as the battle rages, more details about Hinagiku’s tragic past are revealed, painting spring with a heartbreaking melancholy.

The insurgents make their boldest move yet with a direct attack on the autumn villa and abscond with Nadeshiko, the Agent of Autumn! But the seasons press onward, a fact Lady Hinagiku is all too familiar with. As she continues to journey through Edo spreading her tide of spring, Winter follows close behind—hoping to catch a glimpse of the girl he was ripped from ten long years ago...
