'There’s a taut urgency throughout... joy and humour too... These poems testify to the resilience of the artists, and the role that poetry still has to give voice and bear witness in times of crisis' Rishi Dastidar, GuardianA deeply moving poetry anthology exploring loss and survival by Palestinian writers living in Gaza and the West BankYou Must Live brings together some of the most remarkable poets living and writing in Palestine today, from renowned international prize winners to talented emerging voices.Composed over the past few years and gathered under desperate conditions, these poems, which appear in the original Arabic alongside English translations, are haunted by the long spectre of occupation, transforming laments for lost family, friends and places into a new vision of home. This is a poetry of witness and profound lyric imagination, attuned to the hidden beauty of the natural landscape, the music of sparrows under crowded skies, the electricity of complex desire, daring to conceive a dazzling future beyond dispossession and military siege. You Must Live is the latest entry into the rich tradition of Palestinian poetry, negotiating the interplay between aesthetics and politics, the individual and the collective, to provide a glimpse into the full interiority of Palestinian life. 'A light beam of a collection in our dark hours...This is a landmark work, a center from which myriad new ways of thinking and being will flourish' Ocean Vuong, author of Night Sky With Exit Wounds

A collection of 90 postcards to celebrate Penguin’s 90th anniversary, each featuring a different and iconic Penguin book jacketEach of the 90 postcards in this box represents a unique collaboration between art director, designer, editor and author, with input from colleagues in sales and in marketing. In every case the aim was to produce a design which connects with a reader, which stands out on the shelves and – more recently – online and is true both to the spirit of the book and the author’s intentions. That so many of these covers were designed in the last century and still speak so strongly is a tribute to the vitality of this collaboration. The box represents the work of a sequence of talented and inspirational art directors and their teams, from Jan Tschichold in 1947 to Richard Bravery today, including Germano Facetti, Alan Aldridge, David Pelham and John Hamilton. Each of them combined their individual talents with the design trends and aesthetics of their eras, drawing increasingly on the energy and creativity of the wider culture and counter-culture, and altering the balance of brand and book. All these 90 covers are drawn from the archives of the Penguin General division – a tight-knit group of imprints comprising Viking, Hamish Hamilton, Fig Tree, Sandycove and Penguin Life, each of whom publish in paperback under the Penguin banner. We have chosen these 90 book designs collaboratively and we hope you will find a postcard within for every mood and every occasion.

Written by an unknown author in the twelfth century, this powerful tale of murder and revenge reaches back to the earliest epochs of German antiquity, transforming centuries-old legend into a masterpiece of chivalric drama. Siegfried, a great prince of the Netherlands, wins the hand of the beautiful princess Kriemhild of Burgundy, by aiding her brother Gunther in his struggle to seduce a powerful Icelandic Queen. But the two women quarrel, and Siegfried is ultimately destroyed by those he trusts the most. Comparable in scope to the Iliad, this skilfully crafted work combines the fragments of half-forgotten myths to create one of the greatest epic poems - the principal version of the heroic legends used by Richard Wagner, in The Ring.
