A middle section places these "princes" in relation to each other, and to the contexts of village society and the larger entities of which it forms a part. Friedrich's synthesis of anthropology, local (mainly oral) history, macrohistory, microsociology, psychology, and literature gives new insight into the structure of Mexican politics from the local level up, and provides a model for other scholars doing analogous work in other parts of the world, especially in the developing world. The concluding section raises vital questions about the dynamic relations between the fieldworker, fieldwork, field notes, the villagers, the writing of a fieldwork-based book, and, implicitly, the audience for such books.

Immer mehr Mensch wagen den Schritt in das Unternehmertum und versuchen sich selbststandig zu machen. Ein Bereich der Unternehmensfuhrung kann die Unternehmensgrundung darstellen, auf welche sich dieser TDR bezieht. Einige von uns haben vielleicht sogar schon einmal mit dem Gedanken gespielt sich selbststandig zu machen, denn fur viele uberwiegen die Vorzuge der selbststandigen Arbeit im Gegensatz zum Angestelltenverhaltnis. Jedoch mussen in den ersten vier Jahren knapp 35% der neu gegrundeten Unternehmen Insolvenz anmelden. Viele junge Start-Ups scheitern. Haufig sind die Grunde naheliegend: Keine klare Vision, kein Alleinstellungsmerkmal (USP), schlecht uberdachte Finanzierung/ Finanzplanung, fehlende Motivation das Angefangene auch zu Ende zu bringen, fehlerhafte Markt- und Wettbewerbsanalyse, eine schlechte durchgeplante Unternehmensorganisation und eine Fehlkalkulation der moglichen Chancen und Risiken. Deshalb ist es von gro em Vorteil ein paar grundlegende Punkte wahrend der Anfertigung seines Businessplanes zu berucksichtigen. Eine gute Idee reicht meistens nicht aus. Wichtig ist es auch einen klar strukturierten Plan zu haben, wie man das Vorhaben Grundung in die Tat umsetzen will. Von Anfang an ist es wichtig, eine gute und vorausschauende Planung zu haben, um sich am Markt behaupten zu konnen. Unabdingbar ist deshalb das schriftliche Festhalten des Vorhabens anhand eines Businessplans, welcher in diesem TDR dem Leser nahergebracht wird. Unternehmensfuhrung lasst sich in acht verschiedene Disziplinen einteile: Fuhrungspsychologie gezielt nutzen, Fuhrungskommunikation gezielt nutzen, die Zeit gezielt nutzen, Veranderungen erfolgreich gestalten, Projekte leiten und managen, Prozesse steuern, Konflikte managen und Innovationen generieren.

Einerseits wird fur die Unternehmensentwicklung eine gewisse Kontinuitat erwartet, welche zwangslaufig mit stabilen Prozessen einhergeht, auf der anderen Seite verlangt der Markt eine sehr hohe Flexibilitat bei stets steigenden Qualitatsanforderungen. Um diesen Spagat meistern zu konnen, mussen die Unternehmen kontinuierlich nach Verbesserungen und vor allem nach Innovationen streben. Das Benchmarking ist also ein geeignetes Tool, um eine Wettbewerbsposition zuruckzugewinnen, zu sichern oder auszubauen.
