The 50th Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) was held in Pavia, Italy in September 1999 and this volume contains selected papers from the symposium devoted to "Materials Corrosion and Protection". The papers cover the industrial application of the electrochemical approach to corrosion research, prediction, prevention and control as well as fundamental research.
