Rolf Holmqvist – författare

Denna bok handlar om principer mer än om tekniker, om grundläggande kunskap om förändrande samtal snarare än om hur replikerna ska utformas. Syftet är att visa hur samtal i olika yrkesmässiga sammanhang kan bidra till att människor blir bättre på att hantera svåra livssituationer på ett konstruktivt sätt, hur de kan förändra sitt förhållningssätt till sig själva och andra, växa som människor och känna sig stolta över sina livsval.

Samtal i socialt arbete är en grundbok, där både grundläggande principer och praktiska tillvägagångssätt för samtal och förändring beskrivs. Exemplen är i första hand hämtade från socialt arbete, men boken har ett brett anslag och är lämplig för alla som bedriver yrkesmässiga samtal i människoinriktat arbete.

Boken består av fem huvuddelar: den första handlar om teorier om förändrande samtal, den andra om förändringsprinciper, den tredje om relationen som samtalet sker i, den fjärde om samtal med olika klientgrupper och den femte om makt i samtal och om övning i samtal.

Om författarenRolf Holmqvist är professor emeritus i klinisk psykologi vid Linköpings universitet. I sin forskning har han ägnat sig åt samtalsrelationens betydelse för behandlingsresultat. Han är psykoterapeut och har bidragit till introduktionen av relationell psykoterapi i Sverige. Han handleder i psykiatriska och sociala verksamheter.

Relationella perspektiv på handledning betonar hur samspelet som uppstår mellan patient och terapeut, och även mellan terapeut och handledare, kan användas för att hjälpa patienten att tillfriskna och terapeuten att utvecklas.

Boken grundar sig på teoretisk litteratur och empirisk forskning som i allt högre grad understryker relationens betydelse för såväl behandling som handledning.
