Rudolf Rockers analys av Marx relation till anarkismen är en viktig inledning för att närma sig hans författarskap. Flera böcker finns översatta till svenska, den senaste utgavs 1956 på Federativs förlag, 2 år före Rudolfs död. Därefter har inget översatts till svenska eller återutgivits, bortsett från Brandredaktionens föreliggande översättning av ”Marx och anarkismen” från 1976–77. På andra språk har hans böcker fortsatt att ges ut även under 2000-talet. På hans åttioårsdag 1953 hölls en middag i London för att hedra Rocker. Hyllningsord skrivna av, fortfarande välkända, personer som Thomas Mann, Albert Einstein, Herbert Read och Bertrand Russell, blev upplästa. Rudolf Rocker är minst lika minnesvärd. Hans böcker är en viktig och bra början till grundläggande frihetliga studier. Bland bilagorna finns det bland andra en upplysande text om ”anarki utan adjektiv”, begreppets tillkomst under 1800-talet och dess senare tillämpning, minst lika aktuell i dagsläget.
