Le style, c'est la Cour! - Im Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit steht die Frage nach dem Begründungsstil von Conseil constitutionnel und Bundesverfassungsgericht und dem darin transportierten Selbstverständnis: Ist der Conseil constitutionnel eine autoritäre "bouche de la Constitution"? Ist das Bundesverfassungsgericht eine differenzierte Verkörperung des Verfassungsrechtsstaats? Ruth Weber erklärt die Funktionsweise der beiden in Konzeption und Tradition sehr unterschiedlichen Verfassungsgerichte. Dafür durchleuchtet sie deren rechtskulturellen und institutionellen Kontext. Die Erkenntnisse zum Begründungsstil dienen einem konstruktiven "dialogue des juges" im Europäischen Verfassungsgerichtsverbund und schaffen neue Zugänge zu dem in die Supranationalität der Europäischen Union eingebundenen Recht.Die Arbeit wurde mit dem Werner-von Simson-Preis 2019 ausgezeichnet.
