Spooktacular frights abound in this Evil Dead–style, pun-filled Monster High graphic novel about fiendship, finding your true self, and defending what you love, which will have readers howling with defright.Frankie Stein, Draculaura, Clawdeen Wolf, Cleo de Nile, and Lagoona Blue are in desperate need of a defrightful weekend getaway. And what’s more frightening than a haunted house? Except the cabin they found on the normie version of ScareBnB is…toads boring. No cobwebs, no rusty saw blades, just a tacky singing plastic fish. The ghouls are scary underwhelmed—until they discover a classically creepy basement and accidentally unlock an ancient horror, awakening the evil titan Ekhidna and someone, or somehouse, else. They will have to piece together a plan (and Frankie!), navigate a house with a shifting floor plan, and fight a pack of monsterfied animals to survive until the morning. Ekhidna is putting everyone in fearious danger, but together, the ghouls can face anything! Except maybe the ScareBnB cleaning fee they’re about to receive…oops!
