This handbook provides a comprehensive overview of the field of policy transfer in education, with a particular focus on technical and vocational education and training (TVET), adult education, professional and higher education. Bringing together contributions from around the world, the chapters indicate how policy transfer should be embedded in regional and cultural contexts, according to established knowledge as well as emerging perspectives. The book will be a must-read for researchers, policymakers and practitioners working in all areas of education relating to labour market skills, who are aiming for an improved understanding of the successes and failures of policy transfer initiatives in TVET and higher education.

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Information Theoretic Security, ICITS 2015, held in Lugano, Switzerland, in May 2015.The 17 full papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 57 submissions. The papers cover a variety of topics at the intersection of cryptography, information theory, and quantum physics.

Wir leben im digitalen Zeitalter. Digitale Kultur ist zum Inbegriff geworden, die technologische Gegenwart zu verstehen und unsere Zeit in Gedanken zu fassen (Hegel). Eine Philosophie des Digitalen geht an die Grundfesten unseres Wissens, Handelns und Fühlens, stellt Fragen der Anthropologie, Erkenntnis- und Handlungstheorie sowie der Ethik neu. Gibt es eine Lesbarkeit der Welt (Blumenberg) jenseits der Maschinenlesbarkeit (Gramelsberger) oder erschöpfen wir uns als Menschen in der eigenen Denkfähigkeit in Algorithmen und werden obsolet (Harari)? Das Digitale im Allgemeinen und die KI im Besonderen fordern die Philosophie: Das betrifft unser Bild vom Menschen wie unser Weltverständnis, Annahmen in der Programmierung wie die vielfältigen, aber teilweise auch fragwürdigen Anwendungen der KI. Ubiquitous Computing durchdringt unsere Lebenswirklichkeit und erzeugt eine veränderte Wahrnehmung dessen, was wir als real ansehen und worin wir uns – in einem veränderten Selbstverständnis (Transhumanismus), aber auch einer neuen sozio-kulturellen Selbstverständlichkeit – bewegen (OnLife).
